About Goodyear Auto Service

Goodyear Auto Service is one of the tire shops listed in College Station, Texas. The business is registered at 2998 Texas Ave S, College Station, TX 77845; use this page to check its hours, phone number and Google rating before you make the trip. Besides its main category, the business also describes itself as auto repair shop, so it may cover more than the name suggests.
In College Station, a plug or patch repair usually takes under half an hour without an appointment, while a full set of tires with alignment is best booked ahead. Compare the out-the-door price across shops in Texas, since installation fees vary more than the tires themselves. Keep the receipt: the tire warranty and any road-hazard coverage are tied to it. Demand peaks before winter and before summer road trips. Check the listing for hours, whether the shop sells used tires or handles truck and trailer tires, and its Google rating before you drive over on a spare.
Hours are published for 7 days a week. Typical hours are 8 amβ7 pm. Hours in the United States do change around federal holidays and long weekends, so a quick call before a special trip is sensible. You can reach Goodyear Auto Service at (979) 764-3101; calling is usually the quickest way to ask about availability, prices or directions. More information is available on its website, goodyear.com.
Its Google rating is 4.2 out of 5 from 253 reviews, a solid but mixed picture; reading the most recent reviews will tell you what to expect.
College Station is in Texas, in the South, where summers are hot and humid, winters are short, and severe storms in spring are a fact of life; businesses run air conditioning most of the year and many open early to beat the heat. Traffic in College Station peaks on weekday mornings and afternoons, so allow extra time then. UPDATE. Seems I wrote it too soon. Went to church Sunday and by Monday afternoon pressure was at 5. Just took it back and they found yet another nail on the same tire. Call me crazy but I think the chances of getting a third nail while driving less than 5 miles after the fix is a very low possibility. So I had to now get a whole new tire. So that was over $70 for the patches (that were really useless) and now over $70 more (they did give a bit of a discount) for the new tire. Still a lot more than getting the new tire on Monday and the time away from work to drive there again today... ----------------------------------- My daughter had a slow leak in a tire that other places could not find. Told me a dunk/water tank was needed. They have one and found 2 nails, which hey patched. They were very professional.

Rick Dow quoted $800 for doing a rear only brake job on my 2009 Nissan Frontier to my 21 year old college student when it could have been much less, because it really only needed pads. I called Rick and he argued with me that he was fully justified in what he did and even got mad for me questioning him. He did not offer any alternative to me which he could have. Rick told me that he was 62 years old, so he should have come up with something since they had just began the repairs and could have suggested an alternative. He stated that he did his job in quoting and explains to my son the need for a rear brake job. Rick did quote and did what he was trained to do, but did not exercise good judgement. My belief is that he would not do the same to a friend or family member. Buyer be ware and ask lots of questions when dealing with Good Year in College Station. JP

Larry at this location was so helpful and knowledgeable. Every customer he spoke to, he was professional, succinct, and efficient. He was helpful on the phone and a person with my unique needs. The location was clean, maintained, and smelled great. It was a quick, easy, and not daunting experience due to the staff. They made a bad day better. Would 10/10 recommend this location for your car needs, big or small.

I originally went to Walmart for an oil change and was told they couldnβt service my car due to several βissues.β I then came to Goodyear, where Larry was kind enough to actually take a look and explain what was really going on instead of just turning me away. After checking everything, he confirmed that Walmart was incorrect, and I was able to get my oil change done with no problem. Thank you so much to Larry and the Goodyear staff for being honest, welcoming, and incredibly helpful. Great customer service all around!

My car battery died so I went to GoodYear and they replaced my battery and later that day I had error codes so I took my ford to the dealership and they informed me that whoever replaced my battery (GoodYear) didnβt reconnect the system properly and reset the system properly. This was very upsetting because I not only had to spend money at GoodYear trusting they would take care of me, but then when they didnβt I had to go elsewhere and spend even more money to correct their errors. Customer service was good, but If you drive a Ford I would stick to college station ford.
